Dakota Jennings is a Richmond, Virginia native. He attended J.R. Tucker High School, dual enrolling and graduating from Reynolds Community College with an Associate of Science (A.S.) in Social Science. Currently, he attends Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), double majoring in Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness and Psychology (Concentration in Applied Psychology). At VCU, he is contracted with the Spider Battalion Army ROTC Program, a member of the Honors College, and a volunteer Emergency Medical Technician. He will commission into the Army upon graduation. He enjoys traveling, trying new foods, riding motorcycles, and spending time with friends, family, and his dogs, and he is passionate about serving his community in any way possible.

Dylan Jennings attended JR Tucker High School in Henrico, VA graduating with a 4.0 GPA as a part of the Advance College Academy, Marine Corps JROTC program, and football team. He continued his education at Virginia Tech where currently he is a junior. He participates in the VT Corps of Cadets and Naval ROTC, as well as involving himself in the Epsilon Hexaton Chapter of Phi Sigma Kappa at Virginia Tech. He hopes to graduate with a degree in Mining Engineering and minors in Green Engineering and Leadership, with a contract to commission as an officer in the US Navy after Virginia Tech. He enjoys fitness, triathlon, and spending time with friends and family.

Terrae McCann is a 21-year-old college student born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He is a proud alumnus of J.R. Tucker High School, where he excelled in academics, sports, and service. He graduated high school with an associate’s degree in social sciences at the age of 18. He furthered his academic excellence at Old Dominion University, where he is now a senior majoring in Psychology. At ODU, he has served as the Vice President of the Residence Hall Association, the Vice President of The Ebony Impact Gospel Choir, and the Vice President of ODU F1RST. He also works part-time on-campus mentoring and coaching young first-generation students. His academic success has also allowed him to become a lifetime member of Omicron Delta Kappa’s honor society. In the future, he wishes to combine his love for music with his passion to serve the community as an entrepreneur. He enjoys fitness, music, sports, food, and spending time with family.
Terrae currently serves as the Director of Community Outreach and Engagement at Student2Scholar.
Janéa Tyler was born and raised in the East End of Henrico County, about 10 minutes from downtown Richmond. She attended J.R. Tucker High School, where she was able to receive her associate’s degree in Social Science through dual enrollment at Reynolds Community College. In 2019, she graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), majoring in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. Her learning and experience at VCU landed her a full-time position at ChamberRVA. her role at the Chamber includes providing marketing support for assigned projects and programs, as well as coordinating all activities related to the Chamber’s websites and electronic communications. In her downtime, she loves to try different restaurants with her friends. Her favorite RVA spots include Southern Kitchen, Miyabi Sushi, Bello’s Lounge, and the Speakeasy Grill.

Farai Madzudzo is a Zimbabwean-born, Richmond-raised college student. He graduated from J.R Tucker High School where he was an honor student and an outstanding athlete. He is furthering his education at Old Dominion University, where he is currently a junior majoring in Information Technology. At ODU, he has served as a member of the Student Activities Council, Information Systems and Project Management Professionals, and is looking forward to becoming a Resident Assistant in his final year. Upon graduation, he plans on attending graduate school to obtain his master’s degree. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, listening to music, travel, sports, and cooking.

Kellen Johnson was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. He graduated with honors from J.R. Tucker high school along with an Associate’s degree in Social Sciences at Reynolds Community College in the Advance College Academy, while also being involved in sports and other extracurricular activities. In 2021, he obtained his B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Cybersecurity at Old Dominion University. During his time at ODU, he was involved in the Monarch 2 Monarch mentorship program and served as Secretary for the Association for Computing Machinery. Upon graduation, he landed an analyst position at the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, where he aspires to gain expertise in cybersecurity. In his free time, he loves to learn new programming languages, travel and spend time with family and friends.

Michael Jackson is from Richmond, Virginia, and attended and graduated from both JR Tucker High School and Reynolds Community College before attending Virginia Military Institute (VMI) on a Full-Ride Football Athletic Scholarship. Here, he majors in Electrical and Computer Engineering. He previously worked on the S6 Company staff as a Corporal and is in his 3rd year of Army ROTC. He is currently a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) which is dedicated to ethical engineering. He enjoys sports, trying new foods, working out, and listening to music. He looks forward to assisting students with their scholarship needs.

Mariah Rodriguez: Director of Marketing and Communications at Student2Scholar.
Mariah Rodriguez was born in Long Island, NY, and raised in Richmond, VA. In 2019, she graduated with Advanced and International Baccalaureate Diplomas from Midlothian High School where she ended her high school career with a 4.0 GPA. She is currently a third-year college student attending Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where she is pursuing a degree in Psychology with a minor in Marketing and two additional certificates in Product Innovation and Programming. She enjoys learning, making art, trying new foods, and shopping. Mariah hopes to become a Product Manager, Marketing Director, or UI/UX designer in the future. She is currently serving as the Director of Marketing and Communications at Student2Scholar.
Darian Bersch: Assistant Director of Administration and Finance at Student2Scholar
Darian Bersch attended Mountain View High School in Stafford, Virginia. She is currently a senior at Virginia Tech and pursuing her degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Japanese. Darian is a cadet in the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets and the Army ROTC program. She is part of many organizations at Virginia Tech including the New River Battalion Service Organization, Alpha Phi Omega (co-ed service fraternity), and the local rescue squad serving as an Emergency Medical Technician. She has participated in various community service work with children, homeless shelters, and food insecurity organizations since she was four years old and created a passion for service. This drove her to take graduate classes on nonprofits to better understand the work ethic and process of running a NGO. Darian will be graduating in May and will commission as an Army officer where she will be stationed in Richmond, Virginia. She is currently serving as the Assistant to Director of Finance and Administration at Student2Scholar.
Bryan Charles: Assistant Director of Community Outreach and Engagement.
Bryan Charles is a Richmond raised, Trinidadian born college student at Old Dominion University. He is a proud alumnus of Highland Spring High School where he obtained scholastic honors while being a student athlete until graduating in 2018. Bryan has always had a passion for helping others which led him to major in Health Services Administration with a double minor in management and psychology at ODU. As a current senior, he has maintained his honors by having a cumulative GPA of 3.71 which propelled him to join the Alpha Eta Honor Society for Health Professions. During his time at ODU, he has served as a Student Government Association Senator, resident assistant, peer mentor, human resources intern for Jefferson Lab, and also a spring 2021 initiate into the Nu Theta Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. Most recently, he has received honors such as program of the year and outstanding new member of the year for dedication to the campus community. Upon graduation, Bryan plans to attend Eastern Illinois University where he will pursue his master’s in Health Promotion while working as an Assistant Hall Director in the housing department. He one day hopes to create a community health center in Richmond where people could receive all forms of care under one roof. He is a vital part of our team as he is a champion for students seeking scholarships. At S2S, he currently serves as Assistant Director of Community Outreach and Engagement.
