August 2021 Accolades

Roger Lee (2004) co-founded Human Interest, a company that helps small businesses all over the country offer 401(k)s to their employees. Human Interest has raised $200 million on its path to IPO.
Valerie Thompkins (2012) released her first children’s book, Girls Like Me, which highlights diversity and showcases different occupations children can pursue.
Dianna He (2005) has a new book coming out over Labor Day called New Mom Essentials: A Field Guide to Being Your Own Health Advocate Throughout Pregnancy and the Fourth Trimester.

“We as a society need to take care of the people who bring us into this world (and often, continue to nurture us for the rest of our lives). And a big part of that is to change the perception that self care is not selfish — that in order for the mom to best be able to take care of her child and her family, she MUST tend to her mental, emotional, and physical health.” Dianna writes.
Napoleon Rutledge (1991), Genuine Parts Company’s SVP of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer, is a recipient of the Atlanta Business League’s 2021 Men of Influence Award.

In addition to professional accomplishments, the “Men of Influence” are black men in metro Atlanta communities that have demonstrated commitment to the citizenry of Metro Atlanta by maintaining significant involvement and participation in community and civic activities.
Elizabeth Grim (2005) launched an evaluation consulting business, Elizabeth Grim Consulting LLC, to help organizations tell their story with data.
Jarvis Sam (2009) was named as one of the top 40 under 40 Professionals in Portland thanks to the Portland Business Journal. Jarvis is VP, Global Diversity and Inclusion at Nike.
